The major design component of the book jacket is the image of the Renegade tower and the Sentinel and Nightmare on either side. This image is located behind the tile of the book. The focal point is the title of the book, located in the center of the front cover. The text adds contrast to the image because it is a different color than the rest of the cover. The colors used on the cover are red and shades of blue and yellow. The color adds dimension and detail to the image. The vertical direction of the tower helps to guide one’s eyes around the cover. The clear shapes and lines help to keep the cover organized.
